firemx828 Very tall sock. Pulled way up over my knee (6'1"). Not my style, prefer lower crew sock.

Solipsism ...and, as usual, surpasses it. Being in the Army, I like to periodically take a look around to see what my options are for alternatives to the issue stuff; t-shirts, socks, boots, anything that can be replaced with something more comfortable but still adhere to Army uniform standards. These HeatGear boot socks are the first boot socks I've worn that, at the end of a day of wearing them, I didn't feel any particular need to remove the socks to air out my feet - or, on an arguably more important note, any need to stuff the socks in a plastic bag to stifle the smell. They are also the first boot socks I've worn that were marketed as "moisture-wicking" that I feel actually possess that trait, as my feet are almost always perfectly dry when I remove my boots, even after walking around in the Iraqi sun. This could be my imagination and the placebo effect, but I also feel that the cushioning in these socks is pretty effective, as I'm wearing them with the standard issue hot weather boots, which are not known for their exceptional comfort, and yet I have hardly any soreness in my feet at the end of the day. If I had anything remotely negative to say about these socks, it might be that they are extremely long - I'm six feet tall and I can pull them over my knees - but it doesn't make them any less comfortable to push them down a bit, so I'm not going to call that a complaint by any means. These socks are extremely comfortable, dry, and odor-free even after heavy use. I plan to buy more to round out a full week's set as soon as they are available again. They are WELL worth $9.99 a pair, and whenever I wear out the ones I've got, I expect I will be replacing them with the same product.

DanHS Bought two pairs in large last week, I'm a size 9, they are very snug, the calf is almost uncomfortable because it is so tight. Anyone who has big calves will probably find these socks very tight. Also they are long, very long, approaching two feet, seriously. They go up to my knees, this exacerbates the tight calf problem. For comfort, they are ok, though they seem to have this sort of sticky feeling on the arch of my foot, might be from the excess material sticking through from the lettering "LG" on the bottom. There's no seem at least, they are rather thin and not very cushy though. The thin vent section above the toes is clever though. As for performance, well, it's March, 30 something degrees out, I'm wearing moderately insulated boots, and my feet are sweaty. They don't seem to be keeping my feet cool and dry, rather they feel like I'm wearing really tall dress socks. So far I'm disappointed. Going to try layering them on top of other types of socks and see what happens, if nothing helps I'll try returning the other pair and get my money back.

MCRider Bought these for motorcycle camping trips. They are nice and tall, up to my knees and I have a 33" inseam, keeps my boots from rubbing my calves. They are cool and dry very quickly and don't seem to get smelly. I could hang a pair up in my tent and they'd be dry the next day. I took a pair out of the washer at home and hung them up on my shower rod and they were dry just a few hours later. This is good for traveling as you can wear a pair and pack a pair, Wash one pair in a sink and have them dry the next day saving room in your luggage or pack. Wore them in cool to hot weather (50-90) with mc boots and they were comfortable. Can't speak to durability yet. But I really like them and if they hold up well I'd buy them again without a second thought. Now if UA would just make there shirts in TALL sizes. ;-)

Cadet I am in the military. I bought these socks before leaving for the military. I was skeptical to pay such a price for a single pair of socks, but I assumed that Under Armour would make it worth the money. These socks are more than I could have asked for. I wear them with my combat boots and, unlike everyone else wearing other kinds of socks, I have never gotten a blister while wearing these. Also, my feet stay dry and comfortable all day. These socks are a little bit tight, but I have big feet and a very muscular calf. I ended up buying 8 pairs and I don't regret it at all. They have even held up to hundreds of washings in the very rough laundry department we have.

st8of10ec I work in construction & for years have searched for a comfortable sock to wear with my work boots. All the others were so thick & your foot sweated like crazy! Not to mention they all slid down in your boot as the day went on till you felt like you were walking on marbles.I gave these a try not expecting much & boy what a surprise! Not only do they stay up all day long, they are lightweight & allow my feet to breath. They may or may not be to thin for winter wear, but I live in the South so I wear them year round.I wear an 11 & a half & ordered the XL,but could have made do with the LG.My other socks? They got trashed....I'll never go back!

Juggernaut56 I'm a body builder and i like wearing knee high socks at the gym and have had a problem finding socks to fit over my 19" calves. bought the xl to give them a try... these are fantastic! not only do they fit great, they are extremely comfortable and very long! most knee high socks i would buy were too tight and barely go over my calf. these go to above the knees just barely. these also breathe very well. my feet are still dry after an intense workout due to the design of the sock. great product, i plan on buy 2 more pair right now!

OfficeAthlete I bought these socks for daily use in my office figuring if it's good for athletes, it will help me stay comfortable all day at work. Sight-unseen, I bought 7 pair, trusting the Under Armor name. Now at the end of the day I have socks that have stayed up all day and have no smell when I take them off at night.

I would not recommend wearing them around the house without shoes as they can be slippery and the small mesh area on top snagged once.

Otherwise excellent!

SlidellLadiesforLibery We currently have 16 young US servicemen deployed to Afghanistan. They LOVE these socks! They just got their first shipment of them (thanks UA for buy one get one half off!) and they're already asking for more. A few said it was the first sock that didn't give them blisters, a couple more said that their feet don't stink like in regular socks. We'll continue to buy them and send them as long as we have troops there. It's the least we can do for our infantrymen!
